A Lesson Plan Built Around the Drummer, Not a Textbook
Every student arrives with different goals. A younger student interested in making beats for enjoyment requires a different approach than a teenage songwriter preparing to record a demo, and both differ from an adult learning production software for the first time.
Young Beginners (Ages 4+)
No boring lectures or exhausting technical drills. We focus on fun, hands-on games that naturally turn raw energy into real physical rhythm, coordination, and confidence.
Teens
We bypass the generic elevator music. We build custom lessons around the rock bands, pop songs, or digital artists they already listen to on their headphones, sneaking the real technique and rudiments into the music they love.
Adults
No judgment, no pressure, and absolutely no youth workbooks. Just steady, rewarding progress at a personalized pace that fully respects your time, work life, and personal goals.
Neurodiverse & All-Ability Learners
Our instructors intentionally adapt their pacing, structure, and communication style to exactly how each individual student naturally learns best. We change our approach so your child never feels frustrated or overwhelmed.
Auditions & Recitals
Got a big middle school, high school, or community band tryout coming up? We pivot our regular routine into an intensive coaching setup so you can walk onto that stage feeling completely prepared.
In-Home or Studio Drum Lessons Across Twin Cities
Zoom Twin Cities offers lessons in three formats: convenient in-home lessons, studio lessons at local teacher locations, and online lessons (required for our music production courses). For piano, you can choose between:
In-Home Lessons (Most Requested)
Our teachers travel to homes throughout Minneapolis, St. Paul, Edina, Eden Prairie, Hopkins, Maple Grove, Plymouth, Shakopee, Wayzata, St. Louis Park, and surrounding Twin Cities communities. Learning at home saves travel time and allows students to practice on the instrument they use every day.
Studio Lessons
Some students focus significantly better outside the house in a dedicated musical environment. Studio lessons happen at individual, professional teacher-owned spaces across the Twin Cities. Zoom Twin Cities is a decentralized community, not a single storefront academy, so studio lessons are available at select teacher studios depending on teacher availability.
Looking to learn with friends or siblings? Group lessons are not part of our standard public lineup, but we can arrange custom private group sessions on request if your family group already exists.
