  • A 30-minute private lesson at Zoom Twin Cities starts at $60. Lesson rates vary depending on the length of the session you choose, longer lessons are priced accordingly. 

  • The free trial lesson at Zoom Twin Cities is simple, pressure-free, and completely at no cost. Just contact us and our team pairs you with a qualified teacher suited to your instrument, age, and skill level.

  • Most beginners can play simple, recognizable songs within 4 to 8 weeks of consistent weekly lessons and daily practice. Playing with real confidence and fluency typically takes 1 to 3 years depending on the instrument, practice frequency, and the student's goals.

  • Both are excellent starting instruments, but they suit different learners. Piano is often recommended first because the visual layout of keys makes understanding music theory, scales, and harmony significantly more intuitive, skills that transfer to any instrument later.

  • Zoom Twin Cities offers music lessons in three convenient formats to suit every family's schedule and location:

    • In-home lessons: A certified, background-checked teacher travels directly to your home. This is the most popular option and is available across Minneapolis, Edina, Eden Prairie, Shakopee, Wayzata, Maple Grove, St. Louis Park, Plymouth, and surrounding suburbs.

    • Studio lessons: Lessons are available at select teacher private studios across the Twin Cities.

    • Online lessons: Music production lessons are taught fully online. Online delivery may also be available for other instruments on request.

  • Children can start as young as age 4. Piano and singing are the easiest instruments to begin with at a young age, but we work with students of all ages: kids, teens, and adults.

  • Yes, Zoom Twin Cities offers online music lessons. Music production lessons are available exclusively online. For piano, guitar, voice, and drums, we primarily offer in-home and studio lessons, but online lessons are also available when needed.

    We offer in-home lessons, studio lessons, and online options when needed, making lessons flexible and easy to fit into your routine. Students also have opportunities to perform in our annual recitals and community events, giving them real experience, confidence, and exposure beyond weekly lessons.

  • Yes, adults are warmly welcomed at Zoom Twin Cities and make up a significant portion of the student base. There is no upper age limit for music lessons, and private lessons are a great fit for adults because they're completely focused on what you want to learn.

  • At Zoom Twin Cities, lessons are usually private: just you and your teacher. No sharing time with other students, so the full session is focused on your goals, pace, and learning style.

    We do not currently offer open group classes, but we can arrange a group lesson if you already have a group of students who want to learn together.
