Alexander Wilkening is a Composer, Guitarist, and Software Engineer based out of Minneapolis. He earned his BA in Music from the University of Northern Iowa, where he studied Guitar before discovering his true passion: Composition.
Since then, he has written numerous works for guitar, as well as for voice, wind ensemble, and even a full-scale Requiem for SATB Choir, Organ, and Harp—showing both his strong technical skills and deep emotional expression as a composer.

Guillebaldo Martinez is a professional musician with over 15 years of experience in live performance, teaching, production, and management.
A well-known artist in Colombia and Latin America, he has performed as a headline artist and brand ambassador, including concerts with audiences of over 80,000 people.
He holds a Master’s Degree in Music with a focus on Jazz. His academic background allows him to design and teach music programs for students from different backgrounds and skill levels.

Zoom Twin Cities Music School starts kids as young as 4. Younger students usually begin on acoustic guitar with shorter 30-minute lessons, focused on basic finger placement and simple songs they already know. By age 6 or 7, most kids are ready to move into chords and rhythm work.

No. Come to the trial lesson first, your teacher will tell you exactly what to get based on your child's age and hand size, or your own goals. Buying the wrong guitar early is one of the most common beginner mistakes, and we'd rather you avoid it.

We teach both. Acoustic is where most beginners start, no amp needed, good for building finger strength and technique. Electric is great for students drawn to rock, blues, or pop. Your teacher will help you decide based on the music you actually want to play.
