Faraz
Faraz began playing the piano at a young age and quickly developed a deep love for the instrument. What started as a simple interest soon grew into a lifelong passion for music and teaching.
Driven by this passion, he worked as a music therapist, where he supported and guided junior artists with disabilities. During this time, he also created a specialized music therapy curriculum designed to help children grow, express themselves, and improve their quality of life through music.
Today, Faraz teaches students of all ages and skill levels, welcoming learners from diverse cultural backgrounds. His teaching style blends strong piano technique, clear music theory, and personalized guidance.
Each lesson is designed to be engaging, supportive, and meaningful, helping students enjoy the journey while building real musical skills.
Nessa
Ningnan Hu (Nessa) is a dedicated pianist and educator currently pursuing her Doctorate in Collaborative Piano at the University of Minnesota. With a strong academic background, including a Master of Music in Piano Performance, she combines high-level training with a passion for teaching.
She has gained valuable performance experience through major competitions, including participation in the International Chopin Piano Competition. This experience shapes her artistic approach and deep understanding of music.
In her teaching, Nessa focuses on helping students develop solid technique, expressive musicality, and strong confidence. She creates a supportive and engaging learning environment, making it easier for students of different levels to grow, enjoy music, and reach their full potential.
Russ
Russ is a versatile pianist and composer with experience in Broadway, jazz, rock, and global music. He has over 10 years of teaching experience, working with students of all ages and skill levels, both in person across New York, New Jersey, and Florida, and online with students as far as Los Angeles and Switzerland.
He began classical piano at a young age and later studied jazz at Carnegie Mellon University. Since then, he has performed with various jazz and rock bands and released two original albums on Ropeadope Records. He currently plays in a global folk jazz trio and sings with the VocalEssence Chorus.
Russ is also a composer and songwriter whose work includes the Broadway a cappella musical In Transit, along with performances in schools and touring theaters across the country.
